Safety and Security

We place a high priority on your safety. If you are feeling uncomfortable about your safety please call the Safety and Security Service. Help telephones have been placed strategically around each campus. Both inside and outside locations have been selected for quick and easy access.

Lismore

Security staff are available 24 hours a day and will happily provide an escort to your car or bus stop. This is especially useful when you're studying late after hours on campus. Lismore Security can be contacted on (02) 6620 3628.

There are emergency phones in every block at the Lismore Campus. You should acquaint yourselves with the location of emergency equipment in your area (fire extinguishers, emergency phones, etc).

Parking

The Lismore campus is a 'Restricted Parking Area' (RPA) subject to the Roads Act 1993, the Road Transport (General) Act 1999, Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) (Road Rules) Regulation 1999 and the Southern Cross University Act 1993.

Contravention of the University Traffic & Parking Rules may result in you receiving an infingement notice that carries a fine in excess of $86.00, payable to the NSW Infringement Bureau. Further details are available on the notice.
