Assignment Review Checklist

Success Program

The Academic Skills Development Unit (ASDU) aims to develop students' independence in checking their own assignments.
We recommend that you do the following to check your own assignments:

  • Check your work against the marking criteria for the assignment.

  • Attend ASDU workshops either on campus or online via Elluminate. For upcoming workshops please go to www.scu.edu.au/academicskills/index.php/events/all/ and the SCU Orientation site at www.scu.edu.au/orientation/

  • Check the Academic Skills Information Guides on the ASDU website
    www.scu.edu.au/academicskills/index.php/dds
  • Check the Spelling and Grammar Tips wiki

  • Read your assignment out aloud or get another person to read it.
  • If you would like to have an ASDU lecturer talk to your class group or a group of students from a class, please contact academicskills@scu.edu.au and give your tutor's name and contact details as well as your contact details and we will arrange to come to your class or to do an Elluminate or face-to-face session for your group on a particular assignment.
