Student Mentoring Program

mentor logo The Student Mentoring Program is all about students helping students. It connects students who are undertaking their first semester of study with other students who are further along in the same course.

This helps the new student (on-campus or distance) to settle in to university life more quickly and successfully and there is no charge involved!

New students

Student Mentoring is open to all new undergraduate students at Southern Cross University, to help you 'survive and thrive' in your first semester. We'll match you with someone who's 'been there and done that'. Someone who can answer your questions about how things happen here.

A Student Mentor is a volunteer who has received training and can assist you.

  • Get the support of someone who's 'survived' their first year of study here.
  • Learn about all the student support services available and how to access them.
  • Get help to understand university processes.

The Student Mentoring Program is offered free by Equity Services to all undergraduate students. Application forms from Student Centres at Coffs Harbour, Lismore and Tweed Gold Coast campuses or download one from here.
