SCU Induction Workshops

All new continuing and fixed-term employees are required to participate in an Induction Workshop.

Three 1/2 day workshops are offered each year, one at each campus.

Attending an Induction workshop at a campus other than your usual place of work, provides an opportunity for you to experience other parts of SCU. Campus tours are offered as part of each workshop. Please see below for program outline.

You can register for an Induction Workshop now through MyHR. Invitation emails will also be sent to new staff ahead of each workshop.

Introduction to SCU

Professor Peter Lee introduces himself and provides an overview of SCU – structure, locations, sector priorities, performance drivers and measures.

Introductions by each member of the VC Executive team.

Working at SCU

Representatives from HR Services, Financial and Business Services, Community and Corporate Relations, Division of Research and Division of Teaching and Learning present key information about working at SCU.

Discussion with Panel - Hints for New Starters

An opportunity for new starters to discuss particular issues with the speakers from the previous session.

Campus Tour

Participants are invited to participate in a Campus Tour, hosted by a Student Ambassador.
