Notification of your Advanced Standing

STEP 1 - Notification

You will be notified of the outcome of your application for Advanced Standing by email or post.

  • Processing and assessment of your application can take from one to four weeks, depending on the complexity of the request.
  • Students should always ensure their contact details are up-to-date in 'My Enrolment' and regularly check their SCU Webmail for notification regarding their request for advanced standing.
  • Domestic students must supply certified copies of documents or original documents if requested. For full details of requirements please go to School and College Contacts

If you have further questions once you have received notification of the advanced standing granted to you, please contact your School.

STEP 2 - Confirm your study plan

Advanced Standing granted may affect your study plan and the units in which you need to enrol to complete your course. If you require study plan and unit sequence advice please contact your School or College.

International Students

For International on-shore students, any Advanced Standing granted is included in the original Offer of Study and is accepted automatically when they accept their Offer of Study.

  • International onshore students must provide original documents or certified copies of original documents at Orientation.
  • They should consult the International Refund Policy contained in their "Acceptance Procedures - All Campuses" regarding any financial impacts this may have on their enrolment.

For International students studying off-shore, SCU will provide the advanced standing outcome via the partner institution they are studying with. Enquiries regarding advanced standing outcomes should be directed to the partner institution.
