Welcome to Blackboard Enhancement Project

Thank you for visiting the Blackboard Enhancement Project site. SCU is committed to delivering improvements to the Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) and this site has been created to inform you of developments and keep you up-to-date on our progress. In 2011 we upgraded Blackboard to version 9, developed a new MySCU portal, introduced mobile applications and began the roll-out of a new standard LMS Template.

This year we are continuing to build on this foundation with the roll-out of the new LMS Template for the Southern Cross Business School and the School of Law and Justice for session 3. We are developing two new Blackboard modules, Content Management and Community Engagement; the Content system will help improve the storage, retrieval and management of learning material while the Community system will support collaborative learning through shared sites and groups. We will also deliver new mobile applications as well as keeping our Blackboard system current with the latest updates.

I hope you will become a regular visitor to this website and that you will find the material to be useful in assisting you to familiarise yourself with the new Blackboard features as they become available. I will ensure that communication with the user community is maintained at key points in the process as this exciting and worthwhile project continues.
