Information Technology and Information Systems - research node
Information Technology and Information Systems has a very active research node with an interest in developing highly usable and viable solutions to contemporary computing issues. We have a strong focus on health and aged-care IT systems supported by the University's Health eRegions research cluster. Web development, program languages, multimedia and associated advanced technologies are included in our supported projects. Regional issues, the National Broadband Network (NBN) and the encouragement of Women in IT are other key interests we pursue.
Node highlights
Information Technology and Information Systems has ten academic staff currently supervising Honours, MBus, DBA and PhD programs. In 2011 we delivered commissioned reports, invited key note addresses in India and Taiwan, and had a total of 24 refereed publications including four book chapters and 12 publications in well regarded peer reviewed journals. We received Vice Chancellor awards for excellence and a highly regarded Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) citation. We welcome new students to join our current team of 12 higher degree students through projects seeking researchers below.
