Business and Management Specialisations

The Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Business Administration offer a great range of study majors and specialisations (listed below). You can even choose to fast track your business degree by studying selected units offered over Summer by distance education.

Accounting - Designed to give you the technical, conceptual and managerial skills to be an effective financial manager. Graduates are eligible for membership of CPA Australia, The National Institute of Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Advanced Accounting - A pathway for students who have completed the accounting major that provides advanced study in taxation, auditing, financial reporting, financial planning, investment, statistics and strategic management.

Finance - Provides an understanding of the key principals of wealth creation in a global economy and the factors that impact on the value of the dollar, interest rates and the stock market.

Human Resources - Accredited by the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) this area of study gives graduates the professional expertise and understanding needed to manage selection and recruitment procedures, training and development and performance management of staff.

Information Systems - Students learn the concepts, methods and skills necessary to design, implement and manage information systems within an organisation.

International Business - Prepares you to respond effectively to complex global markets by addressing issues such as cross cultural communication and negotiation, and differing government regulations and law.

Management - Teaches the art and science of planning, coordinating and leading within an organisation to ensure its ongoing success and viability.

Marketing - Provides you with analytic business skills together with an understanding of human behaviour and motivation and excellent communication skills.
