Can I use our Screenrights licence to copy from hired or purchased videos and recordings?

No. Even if the item you intend to copy has been shown on TV, you cannot copy from a commercially produced recording under this licence. We are paying for the right to reproduce the broadcast signal, which attracts a property right under Copyright Law. Broadcasters then pay a proportion of that fee to the copyright owners in the underlying material (music, film, etc).
