About this Course

Southern Cross University’s combined degrees in secondary education are four year (full-time or part-time equivalent) combined study programs which provide the qualification necessary to teach selected curriculum areas within the secondary education sector. Professional Recognition

Approved by the NSW Institute of Teachers. Usually, teacher education qualifications approved in NSW are recognised nationally and internationally, but students need to check with potential employers and other teacher registration authorities in other states and territories regarding accreditation requirements.

Professional Placement

Education students complete a program of practical in-school teaching experiences in the course, culminating in a seven week in-school internship to demonstrate their independent, professional capabilities as secondary school teachers.
