Unit Description

Introduces students to the study of teaching and learning English as a second language and the critical role that culture plays in the learning process. The unit has been designed to inform prospective primary classroom teachers about the particular needs of non English speaking background children learning English as their second language or dialect in a school context. The unit is primarily aimed at the practical application of language learning theory.
