2000 Southern Cross University Handbook Index

The 2000 Southern Cross University Handbook is the official publication that lists all course and administrative information about our University. This is the PDF version of the Handbook. A free program called Adobe Acrobat Reader is needed to read these files. We have provided brief instructions on how to read PDF documents and download this software.

There are eight sections to the Handbook. You have the choice of downloading an individual file, the entire section, or the entire 2000 Handbook. Each file size is indicated on the right of the file name. The Handbook is divided into the following sections:

Introduction (Go... )

The Introduction section covers the introductory pieces of the Handbook including the acknowledgements, University-wide contact information and the Contents Index.

Part A - General Information (Go... )

The General Information section covers major topics such as principal teaching dates, list of full-time University staff, a glossary, awards, scholarships, prizes and donors and contact information.

Part B - Rules (Go...)

The Rules section is the official list of University Rules for admission, enrolment, assessment, student sanctions and discipline and course awards and rules.

Part C - Schools and Courses (Go...)

This section contains the information specific to each of our 13 Schools.
Additional information on our Schools or Courses is available.

Part D - Colleges and Courses (Go... )

This section contains information specific to each of our Colleges.
Additional information on our Colleges or Courses is available.

Part E - Description of Units (Go...)

This section includes a useful terminology guide, a full list of unit descriptions and an alphabetical listing of all units offered by Southern Cross University.

Part F - Governance of the University (Go...)

This section includes the list of Council Members, Academic Board, the 1993 SCU Act , by-laws, standing orders and election conduct rules for University Council.

Part G - General Subject Index (Go...)

This section is the main index of the 2000 Handbook.
