TOEICŪ Public Testing
The Southern Cross university (SCU) English Language Centre at Coffs Harbour is an authorised OPEN TOEICŪ TESTING CENTRE. This means we are accredited to administer the TOEICŪ Test to any interested candidates.
We have been chosen specifically as a testing centre because of our location, appropriate testing facilities, and the training and experience level of our staff.
TOEICŪ is a test of a person's overall ability to use everyday English in the workplaces such as international companies and industries, hotels, event management companies, IT or tourism.
The TOEICŪ Test
The TOEICŪ Test enables you to have your English proficiency level formally documented. The test is a two hour multiple choice test that consists of 200 questions divided into two sections, listening and reading. The listening section takes approximately 45 minutes and the reading section takes 75 minutes.
All test answer sheets are forwarded to TOEICŪ for marking. The test is completely objective - the answers can only be either right or wrong and there is no pass or fail. Each candidate is given a score which indicates a level of communicative English ability.

All testing is done on a Friday at 2pm.

Candidates are required to be at the SCU English Language Centre at the Coffs Harbour Education Campus, 490 Hogbin Drive, Coffs Harbour no later than 1.30pm when they will complete the pre-test documents. The test will start at 2pm.
Directions to the TOEICŪ Testing Centre
The TOEICŪ Testing centre is located at the SCU International Office at the Coffs Harbour Education Campus: After arriving at the campus walk up the steps at the main entrance. When you stand looking at the courtyard in front, walk straight ahead until you see the book shop on your left. The English Language Centre (CG13/14) is on your right, directly opposite the bookshop.
There is ample parking available on Campus. Please arrive at the test centre at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the test and make sure you bring all the necessary documentation with you.

What do you bring?
Candidates are required to bring a passport as an official means of identification. Candidates do not need to bring anything else. Pencils and erasers are supplied.
Registration
Candidates are asked to register no later than three weeks prior to TOEICŪ Test date. Confirmation of registration will be by payment no later than two weeks before the test.
Your results
Candidates will be issued with their test scores from TOEICŪ and not the SCU English Language Centre. Each candidate will receive a Certificate of Achievement, individually coded on 'watermarked' paper and personally signed by the TOEICŪ Program Director.

- Course (5 weeks @ AUD310 per week) - AUD1550
- Formal TOEICŪ Test - AUD180
- Homestay Placement & Airport Pickup in Coffs Harbour - $AUD210
- Homestay (5 weeks A$210 per week - Includes 3 meals each day) - $AUD1050
Total cost of course, test, accommodation and meals is $AUD3210.
All students will be provided with a formal Attendance Certificate, Graduation Certificate and will be sent a formal, internationally recognised TOEIC Test Certificate showing your results.
