Energy management at SCU aims to improve energy use efficiency by addressing specific operational and environmental challenges at all campuses.
Building Management System
SCU is utilising a Building Management System which consists of meters that monitor energy usage throughout the campus and provides the ability for automation of key services such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning. These services can be adjusted to meet the ambient climatic conditions and building use requirements. The metering system provides detailed data for level by level energy use of each individual building. This system allows for identification of areas of high energy use and the development of targeted strategies to migrate energy use.
