The Academic Skills Development offers downloadable guides and 50-minute workshops for students early in each session on specific topics such as effective reading, referencing, writing essays, writing paragraphs and maths and science. These guides cover areas such as time management and writing in the sciences and law.
These workshops are also recorded and available on the ASD website.
A free CD called 'What's Expected of Me at University?' has also been developed by Academic Skills Development to help students understand and develop the academic skills required to succeed at university. This is available at the ASD offices on each campus.
Make sure you check out all the above and the many other resources available at the ASD site.
