STAR Entry Scheme

A Principal’s/school’s recommendation scheme

The STAR Entry Scheme is designed to assist regional Year 12 students in our feeder region to gain admission to Southern Cross University on the basis of a Principal’s/school’s recommendation. If you are thinking of applying for an SCU course then consider the STAR Entry Scheme!

International Year 12 students and ATAR/OP ineligible Year 12 students within our feeder region can also register. Useful information for international students can be found on the International Office website.

If you are successful you will be notified in mid October (Qld students), mid November (NSW students). Official offers will be made in December. On-campus offers are made via UAC and QTAC. Distance education offers are made direct from SCU. For instructions on how to apply to study at SCU see the How to Apply website. It is possible for a successful STAR applicant to have a University offer in their hands before their year 12 results are known.

You can list up to two courses from any of our undergraduate on-campus or distance education courses. For more about SCU courses and the locations they’re offered see the Course Options website.

The STAR Entry Scheme is a process of individual matching — it’s all about finding the right Southern Cross University course for the right student.
