Standard Operating Environment (SOE)

In order to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of technology support, Technology Services has implemented a standard operating environment (SOE) for all SCU workstations.

Data exchange between staff is also enhanced when all staff are using the same operating system and applications.

As equipment is replaced Schools and Directorates should plan to upgrade existing systems to meet this standard.
