About the Project Management Office

People Outside

The Project Management Office (PMO) has been established to support Southern Cross University's technology projects.

The specific purpose of the PMO is three-fold:

1. Deliver project support to Technology Services (TS) and its clients by determining and maintaining best practice in project management; and providing guidance in project management processes and methodologies.

2. Provide mentoring and coaching in an effort to raise the project management maturity of the University.

3. Become a bank of knowledge by developing and maintaining project management policies, procedures, templates, guidelines, and project histories for future reference and citation.

The PMO strives to create a foundation for consistent technology project success throughout SCU by establishing, implementing, monitoring, and measuring effective project management standards, methodology and processes. By providing the necessary support and tools, the PMO will look to deliver successful technology projects - every time.

In support of its mission, the PMO has the following primary goals and objectives:

1. Assist in the delivery of successful technology projects

2. Build project management professionalism and maturity within SCU

3. Keep Management and the technology project community informed

4. Serve as SCU's resource on technology project management practices.
