Overview

SCU operates an extensive network linking campuses at Lismore, Gold Coast-Tweed Heads, Coffs Harbour and the Hotel School in Sydney. In February 2006 SCU's network was connected into the new AARNet3 network providing (1Gb) high speed access to the Internet and between campuses. The new AARNet3 network is a world class network serving the needs of the research and education community in Australia.

Service description

Large Tick Provision and maintenance of network connectivity including on-campus, inter-campus and Internet.

Large Tick Diagnosis and fault rectification.

Large Tick Advice and testing of new services.

Large Tick Network management including, monitoring, security and access control.

Large Tick Design, planning and approval of expansions to the communication network or new installations.

Large Tick Telecommunications support.
