Chinese Books Exhibition

The Year of the Tiger: Chinese Books Exhibition was officially launched on Tuesday 16th February. 15 February - 5 March, Lismore campus

Cultural links with China were further strengthened at Southern Cross University last month with the opening of a significant exhibition of Chinese books. The books, which are mostly in English and cover various aspects of Chinese language, literature, society and culture, will be available for loan by students and staff after 5 March.

The University library and the International Office hosted the exhibition, which coincided with Chinese New Year - the Year of the Tiger - and Orientation. The exhibition features over 100 Chinese books, donated to the University by the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China, Mr Hu Shan.

Guests at the opening, which was held on 16 February at the Lismore campus University library, also enjoyed the taste of traditional Chinese cuisine and a selection of Chinese teas, prepared by staff members.
