Join the Library
Your Library card
Your student or staff card is also your Library card and needs to be activated by Library staff before you can use the library services.
On-Campus students: contact Library staff in person to activate your card.
Off campus students: phone the Library with your student number to activate your card.
Staff members: take your card to the information desk at your campus library and complete the registration form.

SCU students and staff joining other university libraries
Apply in person to the host library, taking proof of current enrolment such as current fees receipt, enrolment details and photo ID. The host institution may impose fees.

Students and staff from other universities joining SCU Library
Please provide SCU Library with photo ID (preferably your staff/student ID card) and proof of enrolment or employment from your home institution.
Processing your registration may take up to 48 hours and privileges vary between campuses, so contact the Campus Library you intend to join to enquire about borrowing privileges.
Reciprocal membership of SCU Library is free. Borrowing privileges are valid until 28th February of the following year, and a new application is needed each year. Access to computers is subject to availability.
