Linking to EBL

Search EBL as usual. Note you will be promoted to login when you go to EBL - use your network login and password.

Locate the book or chapter you wish to link to.

If linking to the whole book:

  1. click on email link in the top left of your screen and email the link to yourself. Your link will look something like this:
    http://scu.eblib.com/patron/FullRecord.aspx?p=290410
  2. Add the following EZproxy prefix to the front of the copied URL:
    http://ezproxy.scu.edu.au/login?url=
  3. Your final URL will look something like this (note- URL contains no breaks or spaces):
    http://ezproxy.scu.edu.au/login?url=http://scu.eblib.com/patron/FullRecord.aspx?p=290410

If linking to a chapter:

  1. locate the book and click on table of contents. When you see the chapter you want, right click on the name of the chapter. In IE - select copy shortcut. In Firefox - select copy link location. Paste your link. Your link will look something like this:
    http://www.scu.eblib.com.ezproxy1.scu.edu.au/patron/Read.aspx?p=483907&pg=76
  2. Add the following EZproxy prefix to the front of the copied URL:
    http://ezproxy.scu.edu.au/login?url=
  3. Your final URL will look something like this (note- URL contains no breaks or spaces): http://ezproxy.scu.edu.au/login?url=http://www.scu.eblib.com.ezproxy1.scu.edu.au/patron/Read.aspx?p=483907&pg=76
