Student Recruitment

The Student Recruitment team ensures potential students are well informed about the range of courses on offer at Southern Cross University. The team conducts school visits, attends career expos and other events to provide information on all facets of university life from courses, support services, pathways schemes, entry requirements and scholarships.

The following events are held on campus each year:

The annual Hon John Dowd AO QC High School Mooting Competition: Teams of school students engage in logical oral debate in response to a particular legal issue, to be held at Lismore campus on Friday 10 May 2013.

Northern Rivers Science & Engineering Challenge: Current year 10 students compete in school teams against each other in a range of intriguing science activities at Lismore campus on Wednesday and Thursday 5-6 June 2013.

HSC Studies Day: Current year 12 students access advice from HSC markers on preparing for their HSC at Lismore campus on Thursday 6 June 2013.

Careers Market/Expo on campus: SCU, other universities and education providers run a one-stop-shop for students in years 10, 11 and 12 at Lismore campus Tuesday 23 July 2013 and Coffs Harbour campus Wednesday 24 July 2013.

Senior Schools Day: An opportunity for current year 11 students to find out about tertiary study options at SCU. Senior Schools Day will be held on Tuesday 22 October 2013 at the Coffs Harbour campus and Thursday 24 October 2013 at the Lismore campus.

SCU also participates in events off campus:

University Showcase: SCU visits secondary schools at different times throughout the year along with other universities to provide students with information about higher education options.
