Events and Activities
Southern Cross University has an active program of regional engagement and is proud of its community links. A range of events and organisations from Coffs Harbour to the Gold Coast are supported such as the Gold Coast Marathon Southern Cross University 10km Run; Kokoda Challenge and Kokoda Challenge Youth Program; Byron Bay Writers Festival; North Coast National Lismore Show and Bellingen Writers Festival.
Southern Cross University supports on campus educational activities such as the Northern Rivers Science and Engineering Challenge; the annual Hon John Dowd AO QC High School Mooting Competition; TRANSIT Graduate Art Exhibition; Darrel Chapman Fun Run; and Science Under The Sea at the National Marine Science Centre.
The University is the Northern Rivers Performing Arts (NORPA) Education Partner, proudly supporting the opportunity for local students to attend live productions and for the performances to travel to schools in the region.
Each year Southern Cross University supports RRISK (Reduce Risk, Increase Student Knowledge) run by Northern NSW Local Health at Tweed Heads, Lismore and Coffs Harbour campuses.
