Your feedback is important to us, and we use the information you provide to us in surveys to make improvements.
Below is a summary of action we have taken following feedback given to us by students in 2005 and 2006. (Click here for summary reports of the respective surveys) Online Unit Feedback Units that were identified through student feedback as underperforming were analysed and listed below is a summary of action taken. - School of Arts and Social Sciences:We have re-written one unit.We have referred four units to our Teaching and Learning Centre for further analysis and review.
- School of Education:We are looking into providing extra professional development for our sessional staff.We are reviewing the study materials for three units.
- School of Law and Justice:One of our large units is being further analysed with the Teaching and Learning Centre.
- School of Commerce and Management: Five units are under re-development.
- School of Tourism and Hospitality Management:Three units have had changes to the way assessments are structured.Two units have been re-designed.Some units will be reviewed as part of a possible Faculty-wide core unit.
- Graduate College of Management:One unit had a small response rate, so no further action was taken, apart from encouraging student feedback.
- Faculty of Health and Human Sciences:Three units have been referred to the Teaching and Learning Centre.Two units are being re-written.One underperforming unit is no longer on offer.One unit showed a significant improvement in the next teaching period.
First Year Experience- Timetabling has been an area reported as in need of improvement, and during 2007, the University will conduct a review of this area of our operations.
- The University has committed funds and is in the planning phase of an online customer relationships strategy. The aim of this is to improve our communications with you, and make sure that we follow up quickly on student enquiries.
Course Experience- Courses that did not fare well in the graduate survey were analysed, and listed below is what action we have taken.
- All courses in the School of Arts and Social Sciences are being reviewed.
- The Associate Degree in Law and the Bachelor of Legal and Justice Studies are being re-configured as part of the mapping of graduate attributes.
- The Bachelor of Naturopathy has been referred to the Head of Department to initiate contact with Teaching and Learning.
