"Indonesian labour, political and women's rights activist. Chairperson of Indonesian Centre for Labour Struggles and leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PRD) of Indonesia. Received 2001 Ramon Magsaysay Award for Emergent Leadership. Served three years of a five year sentence for her peaceful activities defending workers rights, and was an Amnesty International Prisoner of Conscience. "
