Corporate Travel Insurance
Staff intending to undertake business travel must comply with the advice of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in regards to safe travel to their proposed destination.
Please also refer to the Corporate Travel Insurance Information and take a copy with you when you travel.

You are also encouraged to access www.customercare.com.au/chubb before, during and after your travel for useful travel information, including travel security, daily news reports and sms alerts. To obtain access to the CustomerCare website you will require the University login details.
Duration of Journey
Business trips in excess of 180 days must be advised to the insurer. An additional premium may apply. Please complete the 'Travel Insurance Application Form' and forward to the Manager, Insurance and Risk Management, at least two weeks prior to travel.
Exclusions
A number of exclusions apply including:
- Travelling in any unlicenced aircraft
- Flying or engaging in any other aerial activity as part of the aircraft's crew
- Pregnancy, childbirth or the complications thereof where the term of the pregnancy exceeds twenty-six (26) weeks
- Medical expenses incurred when the traveller has travelled against the advice of a physician or where the traveller is unfit to undertake a journey

Pre-existing Conditions
See exclusion 4 above. If you have a pre-existing medical condition a medical certificate granting clearance to travel is required. Please also complete the 'Travel Insurance Application Form' and forward to the Manager, Insurance and Risk Management, at least two weeks prior to travel.
Excess
An excess of $50 applies for medical claims and $100 for all other claims.
