1. Academic achievement: achievement of a credit average in the first year of a Bachelor undergraduate degree (completion of between 6 and 8 units)
2. Applicants must reside within the Lismore Local Government Area
3. Applicants must be studying and Bachelor degree at Southern Cross University's Lismore campus, and be enrolling in a minimum of three units per session or undertaking a total of 6–8 units for the entire academic year.
4. Applicants who have achieved success under conditions of disadvantage or hardship as demonstrated by their answers to questions on the application form.
5. Applicants who can demonstrate a history of leadership and involvement in their school and/or broader community.
6. Applicants who have an interest in working in the government sector.

1. Applicants for the 2-year scholarship must be enrolling to study their second year of a Bachelor of Laws degree full time at the Southern Cross University Lismore campus.
2. Applicants for the 1-year scholarship must be enrolling to study their final year of a Bachelor of Laws degree full-time at the Southern Cross University Lismore campus.
3. Preference will be given to students that meet the above criteria and show evidence of outstanding achievement under conditions of economic or social disadvantage.
4. Preference will be given to local students enrolling to study and who indicate a high likelihood of remaining in the area to practice law following graduation.
5. Applicants for both scholarships must submit a letter of support from a law lecturer who indicates that the applicant has a high level of commitment and dedication and proof of successful academic progression in their studies to date.

3. Applicants must undertake the Bachelor of Business degree majoring in Accounting, studying full-time, (however part-time status may be considered).

5. The recipient may be required to carry out any internship component of the course with Thomas, Noble and Russell Accountants.
6. The applicant will be required to provide a statement describing how they would benefit from the scholarship.
7. Shortlisted applicants may also be required to participate in an interview (by phone or in person)

1. Honours projects must be taken in the Centre for Coastal Biogeochemistry and be aligned to one of the Centre's key research programs. Applicants must discuss their proposed project with an academic staff member in the Centre and identify a supervisor.
2. Applicants must outline their Honours research topic and why it is significant in a one to two page proposal. Also outline how the proposed research aligns with the Centre's key research programs and name the proposed supervisor.
3. Applicants must provide a 100-word statement outlining their passion for research and commitment to developing a research career path.
4. Applicants must provide a copy of their Undergraduate record and CV. Students must have attained a Distinction average during their undergraduate study.
5. The recipient is required to undertake their Honours program on a full-time basis on-campus.
6. Short-listed applicants may be required to attend an interview.

1. Acceptance into the Bachelor of Business in Tourism Management with Honours
2. A research topic with relevance to some aspect of gambling
3. Provision of a one-two page proposal describing their Honours research topic

1. Formal acceptance into an Honours course within a nominated School related to the membership of the Centre for Tourism, Leisure and Work (schools of Arts and Social Sciences, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Health and Human Sciences, Law and Justice and Southern Cross Business School).
2. One two-page Honours research proposal on the research topic introducing the research topic, outlining why there is a need to address the issue under consideration, how the research will be undertaken and what might be the expected outcomes of the research.

4. The recipient is to undertake their Honours program on a full-time basis. Short listed applicants may be required to participate in an interview.

1. Formal acceptance into a School of Tourism and Hospitality Management Honours program.
2. Applicants to indicate their Honours research proposal topic in a two page proposal, accompanied by their CV.
3. The recipient is to undertake their Honours program on a full-time basis on-campus (internal).
4. Short listed applicants may be required to participate in an interview.

1. Applicants must submit a description of their Honours research topic in a one to two page proposal accompanied by a CV.
2. Preference will be given to a Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours student undertaking research pertaining to or having links to sustainability.
3. The achievement of a minimum of a credit average within the Bachelor of Psychological Science degree.
4. Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview.
5. This scholarship is open to Australian citizens or permanent residents only.

1. Applicants must provide a 100 word statement outlining their passion for research and commitment to developing a research career path.
2. Applicants are to explain their Honours research topic and why it is significant in a one to two page proposal. Applicants should explain how their research topic is aligned to one of the University's designated Areas of Research Strength.
3. Applicants should provide a copy of their undergraduate record and must have attained a Distinction average during their Undergraduate study.
4. The recipient is required to undertake their Honours program on a full-time basis on-campus.
5. Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview.

1. Enrolled into an Honours program within the School of Arts and Social Sciences (full or part time, any study mode or location)
2. Applicants will be evaluated on:
   • The quality of the student's academic record
   • The extent to which the proposed project aligns with supervisor's existing research interests and outputs; and
   • The strength of the research proposal.
3. Applicants must provide a research project proposal outlining
   • The research to be undertaken, including the role of the student, and whether and how the student's honours work articulates with the supervisor's research agenda
   • Whether there is any community engagement incorporated into the research
   • The research goals (i.e. what is to be learned from the work); and
   • How the research results will be communicated publicly.
4. Students cannot receive both an SCU and a School of Arts and Social Sciences Honours Scholarship;

1. Applicants must outline their Honours research topic and why it is significant in a one to two page proposal to the Head of School.
2. Applicants must provide a copy of their undergraduate record and CV. Students must have attained a high degree of academic achievement during their undergraduate study.
3. The recipient is required to undertake their Honours program on a full-time basis on-campus.
4. Short-listed applicants may be required to attend an interview.

NOTE: Priority for these scholarships is for students who are not in receipt of any other Honours scholarship.
