For NSW students this site is aimed at stages 4 and 5 and relates to the science syllabus as outlined by the NSW Board of Studies.
In Queensland this site is aimed students undertaking the Years 1-10 Studies of Society and Environment syllabus as outlined by the Queensland Studies Authority.
 
 
NSW SYLLABUS OUTCOMES
 

Stage 4-core content

A student will be able to-
• 4.8  Describe features of living things
• 4.10  Identify the factors affecting survival of organisms in an ecosystem
• 4.11 Identify resources used by humans and where they are found, and describe ways in which they are exploited
• 4.15 Access information from identified secondary sources

Stage 5 –core content
A student will be able to-
• 5.10  Assess human impacts on the interaction of biotic and abiotic features of the environment 
• 5.11 Analyse the impact of human resource use on the biosphere to evaluate methods of conserving, protecting and maintaining Earths’ resources 
• 5.15 Access information from a wide  variety of secondary sources
