NOTES FOR THE TEACHER
This website provides an excellent opportunity to study a wide range of different rainforest types through investigating the many varied reserves that fall under the umbrella of the Central Eastern Rainforests Reserves of Australia (CERRA). Students will have the chance to undertake a diverse range of activities from plotting the reserves on a map to designing a bird survey form.

The activities outlined in this website are adaptable to suit individual teachers time and resource allocation. They may be completed over a whole term, allowing 2 weeks (or sessions) for each activity or maybe finished in a block if there are plenty of terminals to use.  Both individual and group work is encouraged and there are activities that cater for both type of learning.

While plenty of links to relevant sites are offered, independent web searching is encouraged to broaden students skills in areas of net searching techniques, critiquing websites and independent research.

Most tasks will be completed either online or using Microsoft word, but some worksheets may be printed if required (e.g. for outside work)
