Teachers!
Welcome
to my web quest on Antarctica! I hope that you find this a useful resource
for your unit of work. I have spent time going through the syllabus' to
make sure that this fits into the BOS requirements! I have done the hard
work for you, all you have to do is give your students the opportunity
to explore my web quest! It is designed to be done in a sequential order
and ideally in one sitting, however, i realize that due to time restrictions
this may not be feasible... therefore i have taken this into consideration
and made links from the home page to the individual tasks. I do suggest
that you encourage the students to follow the order of the tasks. As an
alternative, this web quest could be used as a project for students to
complete at home (depending on the resources available to the individual
i.e. computer, internet access). I have prompted that the students
print off each task and put them in a folder to keep as a memory of their
expedition and to hand in for marking! The possibilities are endless! Bellow
are the outcomes for the NSW BOS syllabus; that fit well with this site.
At the bottom of the page are my acknowledgments and links to some of the
sites I used to create my quest, check them
out!
