Design Situation
You have an exchange student from another country (of your choice) arriving at your home next week who will be overwhelmed or even shocked in discovering the difference in culture here in Australia compared to their country of origin. In order to make them feel a little more welcome and at home, you decide to hold a dinner which will feature traditional dishes from the exchange student’s country. You decide to invite all of your friends so that the exchange student can meet and get to know them.

Design Brief
In groups of two,  plan and prepare a welcome dinner for your exchange student. You will need to briefly research the exchange students culture, find an appropriate food(and recipe) from this culture, and prepare a shopping list for purchase of the required ingredients. You will also need to consider the venue, guest list, music, cost, and equipment required.
