Professional Experience

The School of Education has a long-standing agreement with the University of Wisconsin-Stout in the USA.

This enables early childhood teacher education students from Wisconsin-Stout to complete six-weeks of professional experience in an Australian pre-school or long day care centre. Students experience the Australian lifestyle and environment. Accommodation is via a homestay.

English Language Immersion

For almost a decade the School has hosted students from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

In this annual four-week program, groups of students from Hong Kong participate in English language and cultural activities, and a work experience program organised by Southern Cross University. Accommodation is via a homestay with a carefully-screened Australian family.
