Professional development
Staff from the School of Education are involved in a range of teacher professional development activities providing individual teachers and whole schools with a range of support in their professional learning. Such activities range from presentations at school staff development days, to facilitating action learning initiatives, or supporting evaluations with schools.
Examples of such involvement with teacher professional development includes:
- Technology Together: A whole-school ICT professional development program for schools, developed by the School of Education.
- Academic Partners in the Australian Government Quality Teacher Program (AGQTP).
- Training and support for teachers and schools implementing the Seasons for Growth education program.
- Presentations at local, national and international conferences, including keynote addresses.
The School of Education is also actively involved with local branches of professional teacher organisations such as the Australian Council for Educational Leaders.
