Teaching Environment and eTeach
The School of Education is committed to fostering the development of teachers who are well prepared for 21st Century classrooms. Our undergraduate and postgraduate degrees encourage future and practising teachers to effectively integrate information and communication technology into their learning and teaching.
A 'real life' Classroom Environment
Each of our campuses provide students with access to a 'real life' classroom environment, which we refer to as our eTeach rooms. These provide access to the types of technologies students will encounter in a well equipped modern classroom. Our students learn to use technology such as interactive whiteboards, and they learn to use and create multimedia and web-based teaching resources that can be used in practice in the classroom. Many of these resources are available to be shared with teachers in the broader community. More information about our Online Teaching Resources
The eTeach Website
The eTeach website is designed by students, for students. This site is a launching pad for access to a range of resources related to all curriculum areas with many of our students using these resources after leaving university.
Access to the eTeach website is available to past students or if you are involved in professional development programs through the School of Education. If you have already been provided with login details, you can go straight to the eTeach website www.scu.edu.au/schools/edu/ICT/secure/eteachsecure.
However, if you require access to the eTeach website, we will need a few details from you:
