Early childhood education
The Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) is available at Lismore, Coffs Harbour and the Gold Coast.
The course is distinctive in terms of its child-centred philosophy and is supported by up-to-date evidence on best practice in the early years, including research by the Centre for Children and Young People, which is co-located with the School of Education.
The degree enables graduates to work in a variety of early childhood contexts, including kindergarten, early primary school, pre-schools, childcare centres and other early childhood services (birth to eight years). It also provides a pathway for graduates to teach in NSW across the range of educational settings from early childhood to upper primary (birth to 12 years).
