Research Degrees

Southern Cross University offers the opportunity for you to pursue educational research through a Master of Education, Doctorate of Education, and Doctor of Philosophy.

Research Supervision

Academic Staff in the School of Education engage in a diverse range of educational research projects, many of which relate to learning and teaching in formal educational contexts from early childhood through to higher education. The outcomes of these research projects has informed policy and practice and the education profession, both nationally and internationally, as well as influencing the School's curricula and teaching practice.

Staff from School of Education have expertise, and are able to supervise postgraduate research candidates in a broad range of areas and across various methodologies.

Research methodologies encompass a range of approaches including interpretive research, critical research (including critical action research), survey research and several others approaches that are usually referred to as qualitative and quantitative, such as phenomenological and correlation studies.
