Professional Recognition
The School of Education at Southern Cross University is dedicated to fostering excellence across a number of important areas of education including early childhood, primary, secondary, vocational education and training and higher education.
The teacher education qualifications offered by the School are accredited by the NSW Institute of Teachers. These include the:
- Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood)
- Bachelor of Education (Primary)
- Bachelor of Education (Secondary)
- Bachelor of Technology Education
- the combined secondary degrees and
- the Graduate Diploma of Education.
The Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) has also been approved by Queensland College of Teachers and endorsed by NSW Department of Community Services (DOCS).
Teacher education qualifications approved in NSW are usually recognised nationally and internationally, however we strongly advise applicants who are interested in teaching outside of NSW, to check with potential employers and other teacher registration authorities in other States and Territories within Australia regarding accreditation standards.
