School of Environment, Science and Engineering
The School of Environment, Science and Engineering is a leader in environmental sustainability with a strong focus on environmental planning and management, biological conservation, marine biology and ecology, sustainable forestry, fisheries management and water and soil management. From 2013, the discipline of engineering is being added to the School's offerings, with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Civil Engineering available at the Lismore campus.
Along with engineering, our comprehensive suite of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in environmental, marine and forest science and management offers our students opportunities to develop innovative, contemporary skills and knowledge in their chosen discipline.
Many of our courses combine academic rigour, laboratory work, field trips within our stunning region, and professional experience through industry internships for a well-rounded education and enhanced career opportunities. Many of our units have flexible study options, with some courses available by distance education.
Our teaching laboratories at Lismore campus and the University's National Marine Science Centre in Coffs Harbour provide advanced analytical equipment and resources for students to access.
The School is committed to excellence in teaching and research, with world experts in several fields.
