"Tapping the Well of Inner Knowing: What Square?"Sometimes learning is difficult. Sometimes it is easy. And sometimes it is not like learning at all, but more like remembering or becoming aware that you know already. This workshop will explore ways that we can tap into and draw on this 'inner knowing'. Many approaches to problem-solving and action learning are very intellectual.
There is nothing wrong with this; intellect has its place. What I am looking at here however is not intellectual, but intuitive and beyond: more Yin than Yang; more right brain than left brain; more feeling than thinking; more in our bodies than in our heads; and more spiritual than material. Sometimes (often?) what we need is not more analysis but more silence and the ability to 'listen' to what is there, if only we took the time to notice it. Sometimes what shackles us are our preconceptions, or our belief that there is a square. It is worth noting here that squares do not exist in nature; 'square' is a construction. Our squares make us feel safe but they also limit us. If that sounds like your cup of tea, I'm sure we will have an interesting and enlightening time together.
Process
Very hands on. Using exercises to allow people to explore their intuitive resources and beyond. There will be individual work including guided meditative exercises, pairs work, and some large group work. There will be some writing, drawing if desired, breathing, moving, meditating, use of music, and some talking. Participants will be encouraged to use whatever issues, problems or projects (professional and/or personal) they have currently as the content for the exercises. Could be challenging for those who have an investment in the belief that there is a square!
