"Deep action research."The workshop will be by way of debate between the two facilitators; they will form a panel to dialogue aspects of deep action research. Issues they will discuss may include critiques of systems theory, weaknesses in phenemonolgy, the need to include levels of causation, the status of local theory, spirituality, and consideration of other ways of knowing . They will respond frankly to one anothers concerns for the topic. Participants will be invited to join in.
The presenters
Paul has an extensive track record in the area of futures studies, action research, organisational development and labour market programs. He has been a Director of Labour Market Programs in Queensland for TAFE and a university lecturer in social science and futures studies. He is currently node chair of the United Nations University's Millennium Project (American council).
Bob has part time appointments at Southern Cross University and Griffith University, supervising action research theses and helping people learn the skills and concepts for facilitating community and organisational change.
