"Success" in a complex and uncertain world .....

How do we define and achieve success -- as individuals or in our organisations and communities as we approach the next century

Workshop abstract:

Ian Plowman

Success: different strokes for different folks

There are individual differences in what constitutes "success". This session explores, in an experiential participative fashion, the bases of those individual differences. Does gender play a part? Do our motives determine what we might regard as "success" and hence are there different "successes" for different motives?. Or perhaps our formative years shape what we later regard as successful? Do these individual differences form organizational clusters, and with what consequences?
