Turning trauma into art

Christopher Edwards-Haines

Through his artwork Christopher Edwards-Haines has managed to overcome a lifetime of pain and distress to find his true-self. He is a firm believer in art as therapy and is using his experiences and creative talents to help others in Indigenous communities suffering from trauma related problems.

In this remarkable series, Christopher explores a range of issues including Aboriginal Australian history; Indigenous health and legal issues; physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, cultural and social distress, family and community violence and recovery; and parenting.
