How to Apply

To study Indigenous Studies courses at Southern Cross University, you will need to fill out a Direct Application form.

Applications are accepted throughout the year and are held for either enrolment into Session 1 or Session 2 of each year.

Admission and Enrolment Support

Our friendly staff are always on hand to provide information and assistance to prospective and continuing students on admission and enrolment procedures.

Southern Cross University recognises that Indigenous people possess skills other than those gained through formal schooling and these will be seriously considered in determining qualification for entry to courses offered through Gnibi.

Testing and Assessment Program for Indigenous Applicants

Indigenous applicants to Southern Cross University will be invited to attend the Indigenous Australian Student Services (IASS) Testing and Assessment period.

During this time all Indigenous applicants will:

  • Meet and be welcomed by Elders from the local Bundjalung communities.
  • Be introduced to the services and staff.
  • Have an assessment and feedback session with academic support staff.
  • Be provided with an opportunity to meet with Course Coordinators of various courses.
  • Meet with relevant service providers across the University.
  • Get to know students already enrolled.
