About the speaker:

Prior to returning to school Bill was a soldier and interstate truck driver. He has been working in the field of Psychology for 30 years this March: five years in public service and 25 years in private practice.

Bill has undertaken significant works in the areas of the psychology of men's health: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder with Vietnam Veterans; organisational restructuring; and vocational Assessment. Bill wrote the first book in the Southern Hemisphere on the psychology of men's health and has a number of other publications on male issues throughout rural Australia

Bill says he was lucky to meet Dr. Provost early in his PhD; Dr Provost pointed out that most of Bill's work in the field had been carried out under the guidelines of the scientist /practitioner model. The excitement of research for Bill has been how much he has changed as he has come come closer to his goal.
