Research highlights
The School of Health and Human Sciences supports innovative research in basic and applied sciences in health, with a particular emphasis on the needs of regional and rural communities. Staff and postgraduate students engage in research across all areas of health and human sciences, publishing regularly in national and international scholarly journals.
Research activities
Members of the School of Health and Human Sciences are engaged in a range of research activities across the disciplines of Nursing, Health Care Practice, Clinical Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Psychology, Sport Management, Complementary Medicine and other health and human sciences. Moreover, School staff are involved in the following research entities:
- Cognitive Neuroscience Research Cluster
- Health and Wellbeing Research Cluster
- Tourism, Leisure and Work Research Centre
Research supervision
If you are interested in undertaking research within our School, we offer research-based postgraduate degrees including the Master of Science (Research) and the Doctor of Philosophy, and can provide research supervision in a broad range of areas. Enquiries from prospective research degree students are welcomed. Applications may be made at any time of the year.
