Naturopathy & Complementary Medicine

ncmSouthern Cross University has been a leader in the provision of university-based training and education in natural and complementary medicine since 1995, when it became the first Australian university to offer a degree course in naturopathy.

Naturopathy is accepted as a complementary choice in health care for many people and the School of Health and Human Sciences offers exciting undergraduate and postgraduate courses and cutting-edge research activities in Naturopathy and Complementary Medicine. The School is dedicated to excellence in education and research in natural and complementary medicine, as well as the development of a significant resource of health professionals in this field.

Bachelor of Clinical Sciences will offer foundation studies in naturopathy from 2011 to provide graduates the opportunity to enter into careers within industry or private enterprise as advisors. A postgraduate clinical training program is also currently under development, which will allow graduates to qualify as naturopaths. Note: The new Bachelor of Clinical Sciences is subject to approval.

The Master of Clinical Science (Complementary Medicine) is an online course that provides health professionals with an evidence-based introduction to complementary medicine.
