Clinical Leadership
Clinical Leadership plays an integral role in the effective provision of service across the health sector. Clinical leadership and management knowledge and skills enable health professionals to implement transformative change while maintaining excellence in health care, within the clinical practice environment.
Qualifications in clinical leadership are relevant for professionals working in hospitals, primary care, heath networks including government and NGO's, local area health, and various health and human service agencies.
Our Master of Clinical Leadership (Advanced) provides a pathway for health professionals seeking to develop and/or upgrade their clinical leadership and management knowledge and skills. It also provides the opportunity for senior health leaders to develop best practice within clinical education and teaching contexts. Graduates career paths can range from advancement to senior management, health education, advanced clinical practice and clinical consultation various levels.
The course was planned in collaboration with, and support from the School of Health, University of New England, and key health service providers in the North Coast Area Health Service and the Hunter New England Area Health Service. Candidates study up to 50% of the award by enrolling at either the Southern Cross University or University of New England, for which cross-institutional credit will be provided.
