The School of Law and Justice provides excellent tertiary legal studies and a strong and supportive student environment. Our courses are linked to the needs of the legal profession and our industry partners, providing students with the right skills to succeed.

Our Bachelor of Laws program is distinctive in that it blends critical thinking and enquiry with the development of sound legal practice skills. Upon completion of relevant pre-admission requirements, graduates of the Bachelor of Laws are entitled to seek admission to practice in any Australian jurisdiction. For students who do not initially qualify to study in the Bachelor of Laws, we offer articulation pathways through our courses, Bachelor of Legal and Justice Studies; and Associate Degree in Law (Paralegal Studies). We also offer the Summer Law School each year for legal professionals and law students throughout Australia, together with a range of specialist short courses. You can study with us on-campus at Lismore, or the Gold Coast, or by distance education (see our course options for course availabilities in these locations and modes).

The School values our post graduate students, our research achievements, and publishes an annual journal, the SCU Law Review. We also participate in a number of research collaborations.

At the School of Law and Justice, we aim to enhance the cultural, social, economic and intellectual development of our region. We connect with our regional communities through the Southern Cross University Community Engagement Office.
