Philosophy of the Australian Electronic Journal of Nursing Education (AEJNE).
The AEJNE is committed to enhancing the teaching learning experience across a variety of nurse contexts. The journal will be a means by which nurses can share findings, insights, experience and advice to colleagues involved in all aspects of the educational process.
The AEJNE seeks to use the advantages of electronic communication to provide rapid and accessible information about teaching and learning to nurses world wide.
The AEJNE has a special commitment to nursing education in Australia. To this end it will allow country specific comment in this context. The universality of teaching / learning will, however, provide wide opportunity for nurses outside of Australia to publish studies and papers in the journal.
The AEJNE will endeavour to provide rapid publication times. To this extent the editors will set themselves maximum turnaround times which will be reviewed and reduced on an annual basis.
The AEJNE recognises the importance of the learners perspective. It will set aside part of each edition to contributions by undergraduate and postgraduate students of nursing.
The AEJNE is committed to both scholarly excellence and information sharing. The journal will attempt to marry these areas by providing a forum for both refereed and non-refereed papers. The status of any contribution will be clearly indicated to the reader.
